What is MM2H?

MM2H stands for Malaysia My Second Home. It’s a long-term visa program initiated by the Malaysian government that allows foreigners to stay in Malaysia on a multiple-entry social visit visa for up to 5 or 20 years.

Key Features:

  • Tax exemption on offshore income and funds remitted to Malaysia (e.g. fixed deposits).

  • Dependents (children) can study in Malaysia up to the higher education level (must be a higher education institution recognized by the Malaysian government). Dependents (children) can use the obtained MM2H pass or automatically obtain a student visa

  • Long-term medical treatment is permitted in Malaysia.

  • In the event of death of the principal, the MM2H pass of the deceased is transferable tothe next-of-kin among the registered dependents. The dependents are obliged toinform the OSC MM2H within three monthsfrom the date of the  principal’s death. Failureto do so may result in the expiry of theMM2H pass.
